Well  it`s  been a  great start  to  ice  fishing  on
Lake Puckaway! We got ice during Deer  hunting  season. Just
before Thanks Giving  this year.  The ice thickness varies from 6 to
12 inches and is good solid ice.  With  all  the snow we are getting
traveling will be getting more diffucult.

Walleyes; are  biting  good  from  the  begining  of  ice-up
and  are still being caught  as  I  write  this  report. Tactics  for
catching  walleyes  are  on Tip-ups  and jigging  fishing  poles. Both
set  ups  are  Tipped  with  minnows  for  best  results  for catching
Walleyes.

Northerns  are  being  caught  on  tip-ups  using  golden  shiners.
Also  bluegills  and  crappies  are  biting  too. More aera lake reports are
coming, watch for new  fishing  reports.

Lake Wisconsin 8-19-09
Tips for  Lake Wisconsin right now are Fishing a little shallower than ussually for the walleyes and  saugers than you would later in the fall. We trolled in 5 to 12 feet of water and we drfted in the wind dragging jigs and lindy rigs in about 10 feet of water . The lake edges are holding a lot of small minnows which you could see in the shallow water at the lake edge.Heres a pic. of Jacob with a nice 21 1/2 inch sauger from the day.

Great day on Castle Rock with 2 of my clients we boated 4 short eyes and some nice 12 inch crappies and a tip for getting into the whitebass on the lake is to troll shad raps and cleos in about 12 to 25 feet of water . Shad raps were 35 feet back of the boards and cleos were 100 feet in back of the boards. Good luck and be safe.

12-6-09 LAKE IS ICED OVER AND WAS WALKING ON IT LAST NIGHT ,BUT NOT TOO FAR OUT .

DEC. 19TH 2009 Out last night for a few hours and we had 8 inches of ice a few 4-wheelers and sleds out around the lake , still take care there looks like a few slushy spots yet. Tip for the day is find the edge of the drop off and set out tip ups on it and jig between your 2 tip -ups for walleyes. Last night had 2 hits and on the 2nd hit it tore off the minnow , it was prime time for the walleyes to start feeding but I missed him . Great night out with Roger and always great conversation with a good freind on the ice.
